A late 18, early 19c oil on canvas painting of a slightly gender ambiguous character, likely Diana, goddess of the hunt, with flora embellished hair and a leather strap for a quiver or box over her shoulder. Finely woven canvas consistent with that used in the 18th century. Style consistent with paintings from the late 18c or early 19c. Found in France, we are comfortable labeling the painting Continental. Presented in a later frame.
