A charming table dating from approximately 1760 and reflecting the transition between the Louis XV and Louis XVI tastes.  This style table served as a desk, called a bureau plat.  On this model the top rests over a fluted frieze and a drawer and has simply decorated but exaggerated cabriole legs.
