A French mirror, c. 1760, with carved, gilded wood decoration on a painted ground and a large circular opening for an oil on canvas painting. The giltwood decoration includes elements of the Louis XVI era: urns, rosettes, acanthus leaves and a ribbon. The mirror frame has its original painted and gilded finish and the mirror, slightly oxidized, is original. The painting, on the original stretcher and canvas, has been refreshed.

Very good, having the original paint and gilding to the frame. Painting to the canvas restored and refreshed.
