An 18th century Louis XVI mirror with a pierced, finely carved cartouche centered with a scallop shell. This mirror represents the transition between the Louis XV and Louis XVI style, the muscular frame and cartouche with elements of the rococo era (flowers and open scrollwork) set in the highly symmetrical, neoclassical frame.

Very good to excellent antique condition, with wear to the finish and oxidation to the glass.
