A large Continental School oil on canvas painting, likely dating from the late 18th to early 19th c. The painting depicts a group of cows on a shaded path in the woods. Although the composition is centered around the cow herd, it's equally a painting highlighting the luxuriant vegetation of the wooded landscape. Having small repairs to a top corner of the canvas, as shown, and presented in a 20th c. gold frame
